Fabulous bike. Not only is lovely condition throughout, it runs and rides amost like a Japanese bike! Sort of back handed compliment.
If, like me, you are a bit skeletally challenged (can only now do electric starts etc), OR, must have a left hand gear change (younger and fitter, want a classic bike, but not the hassle and the odd gear change on the right) then here is your bike. Very rare thing. Full Norman Hyde. 1000cc. Rides like the wind with no fear of flying apart or pee oil everywhere if open it up.
Full Hyde. Oil system, head, barrels, the works. Brake even works well as well! Transmission sweet as a nut. Would have been cardinal red out of factory.....and yes, i know the other colour was technically yellow, and this is 1964 Alaskan white/gold.......paint job is grade 1. Prettiest colour scheme ever on a Triumph or what? T100SS and T120 used to look epitome of Brit back in the 60s in this combo.
Have massive provenance/paperwork/folder/receipts for all work. Plus books and parts lists etc. I bought from an executor, and only selling to fund a Harley FXDLS 2016/17. Will be even more money, but i will ride that more at 6ft 2 than the Trident, and it wants to be ridden. Not a tart's handbag to be locked away. Wants to have a rip up the road!
Note the two videos. One running is with original US type bars that came on bike. I have fitted Triumph flat track bars, a tad lower. Also fitted latest Boyer Micro ignition system complete with coils and iridium plugs and non resistor caps. Also fresh oils and new rear speedo drive. Proper replacement. Original one was intermittent and worn. New battery as well.
Will see many T160 for sale. No decent ones below 9k. Some dealer ones at anything up to 15k, some LP Williams above that. Anyone who is au fait with these will appreciate what this is. To get engine sorted like this we talking 3500 , and receipts just for that substantiate the claim. Hyde always was the biz on these. If want a proper genuine pretty classic do not miss. Is quite stunning little bike.
Absolutely any inspection or test. Obviously matching numbers and all paperwork supporting the above in very big folder. Prob be my last Brit i suspect.

Did have a lovely Norton 961, but was cafe racer, and knew would never be able to ride properly. Plus the Triumph was faster and smoother and quieter mechanically by miles!!!!
If crazy man, come to Leominster station and ride her home. Can arrange transportation for £120 to most of Wales and England, but please ask for quote if above Newcastle, down in Cornwall, etc. Please check feedbacks since 2001. Not a dealer, just have loads of bikes, but really am cutting back now.....even got a bl...y GS now! Got lovely mark 2 2008, but a white LC one be nice
Deposit to hold, balance in cash or bank transfer. On 20-Jul-21 at 14:12:00 BST, seller added the following information:Many queries regarding provenance etc, obviously has matching numbers, which is a start.
I am effectively 3rd owner.....guy before had it 38 years, and bought from the original owner. Have the original bill of sale and factory documents from 1977. Supplied by Roy Cunliffe Ltd in Ilkley.
The main work by Hydes was 88/89, and had another big inspection and check of all engine internals in 2010, having completed most of its mileage.
Has only done 300 miles since 2013, when owner could not ride so much. When i bought it had had its carbs cleaned and blown out. Appreciate these are indeed the original factory carbs, and new owner may wish to fit new Premiers, or indeed Mikunis and Norton pea-shooters if really want to use bike to full potential, as opposed to just investment and odd ride out.........Realise pea shooters are non standard, but can keep stock cans wrapped up and get the way stronger noise, plus looks so much more race..........
Poss swops exchanges as in text. Ideally after FXDLS Harley, liquid cooled 1200GS ideally white, or maybe Street Bob..........On 23-Jul-21 at 20:40:32 BST, seller added the following information:Many queries as to reserve. It certainly not as low as some folk optimistically imagine, but is lower than what it stands me in! So am being realistic, but not totally jump out the window......with my mask on of course.....we really must be safe you know. Flow tests 4 times a day and 5 on Saturday...............that goodness we have our bikes!!
