Land Rover Defender 90/110 USA EXPORTABLE
Due to relocation IвЂ™m looking to downsize my Land Rover collection.
IвЂ™m an engineer by training / trade, have previously restored a number of land rovers / am offering a commissioned defender restoration to be carried out at my workshop in Kent - over approximately 90 days.
IвЂ™m happy to assist with the export process and accommodate as frequent visits and input into the build as you wish (but, with respect - no вЂњhelpвЂќ!!)
I have a choice of two USA exportable defenders, a SWB 90 or a 110 SW.
IвЂ™ve an informal portfolio of Land Rover restorations and references from past and present owners having recently carried out a full body off restoration of a series 3, and an extensive refurb of a modern 110 - plus a good few range rovers and defenders along the way too.
Both the 90 & 110 are here to view, both are RHD and both have title / v5 documentation in my name with build / heritage certificates.
Photos 1 & 2 are the actual carвЂ™s. The other photos are examples of recent work.
Both retain their original chassis with the number clearly visible & both left the factory as Chawton white (the best classic defender colour!). Both I would envisage finished on factory steel wheels with 7.50 x 16 tyres (but thatвЂ™s upto you).
The 90 is a 1989 2.5TD вЂњ19JвЂќ with the original low millage engine running beautifully. Currently green, it will be returned to Chawton white. This car requires a replacement bulkhead and doors, minor chassis work and general overhaul. ItвЂ™s in running and driving order. I have already refurbished an original bulkhead ready to fit.
The 110 is a 1985 factory v8 4-door station wagon. The engine is a replacement correct period 3500cc вЂњ21GвЂќ defender engine number and has been removed for full rebuild. The car requires 4 doors plus a full interior refurbishment. The bulkhead is solid and chassis is excellent and requires very minor welding.
Final price is negotiable depending on level of finish / work carried out my me. Guide price / budget would be approx. ВЈ10,000-20,000.
IвЂ™m not interested in selling either vehicle вЂњas isвЂќ and the base price / buy it now of ВЈ10,000 is for a choice of either vehicle to be put back to a roadworthy, drivable standard and pass a UK MOT. Extra (optional) work like the interior, or full respray would be on top of this.
